Girl’s Basketball Players
E. Wayne Cooley Scholarship - Congratulations to Lindsey Hoehns of Twin Cedars (Bussey), awarded the E. Wayne Cooley Scholarship Award. Hoehns was choosen over 95 applicants and is a four sport star, participating in track and field, volleyball, basketball and softball. The scholarship totals $15,000 over four years to be used at and Iowa college or university. Hoehns will attend Iowa State University.

Lindsey Hoehns (Twin Cedars, Bussey) - 01/15/10 vs.Lamoni
Hoehns becomes only the fourth girl in 5-player history to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds in a high school career. Jennifer Goetz (Cardinal Stritch, 2003), Kelsey Bolte (Battle Creek-Ida Grove, 2007) and Jennifer Jorgensen (Southeast Webster-Grand, Burnside 2008) are the other three girls to achieve this unique milestone.
Hallie Christofferson (Exira) - 02/02/10 vs. Walnut
Christofferson becomes only the fifth girl in 5-player history to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds in a high school career.
