NEWTON -  Officials at Iowa Speedway announced that ‘SPEED on Mediacom’ will be the presenting sponsor for the Saturday, July 10 ‘Prairie Meadows 200’ ARCA Series stock car race and the Sunday, July 11 ‘Lucas Oil 200’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at the challenging 7/8-mile oval track facility.

Although specific financial details of the recently finalized agreement were not disclosed, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chuck Spicer, said “In today’s environment, having support from presenting sponsors like SPEED and Mediacom is critical to the success of the Iowa  Speedway. These promotional partners help us to enhance the overall fan experience at Iowa Speedway, which is what we are here to provide.”

“The Truck Series offers exciting races and fun for everyone,” said Mediacom regional vice president Steve Purcell.  “We know the Iowa Speedway team has worked hard to bring top drivers and high-quality events to our state.  With the large number of Mediacom employees and customers in Newton and all of Central Iowa, we understand the value of events like this and we’re proud to partner with SPEED in lending our support.”

SPEED will offer live coverage of the ARCA Racing Series race (July 10 at 9 p.m. ET) and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event (July 11 at 2 p.m. ET) from Iowa Speedway, including the popular Truck Series live pre-race show, NCWTS Setup, hosted by Iowa’s own Krista Voda at 1:30 p.m. ET. SPEED can be found on Channel 74 on Mediacom.

“The NASCAR Camping World Truck series is the highest-rated racing on the network,” said SPEED spokesman Erik Arneson. “To be able to partner with our friends at Iowa Speedway and Mediacom in a show of support for all of the competitors that give us such a great show each week is very cool.”

SPEED, anchored by its popular and wide-ranging coverage of NASCAR, is the nation’s first and only cable television network dedicated to automotive and motorcycle racing, performance and lifestyle. Now available in more than 80 million homes in North America, SPEED, a FOX Sports property, is among the industry leaders in interactive TV, video on demand, mobile initiatives and broadband services. Additional information about the network is available online at www.SPEED.com.

Iowa Speedway is located 30 miles east of Des Moines on Interstate 80, just south of Exit 168 in Newton. Tickets for both races can still be purchased by contacting Iowa Speedway ticket office at 1-866-RUSTY-GO, or online at the track’s official website, www.iowaspeedway.com.
